Prof. Avinash Singh
Prof Avinash Singh was with Hindustan Times for 20 years as a journalist. He is probably the only scribe to have covered Op Blue Star n Op Black Thunder from ground zero.
Prof Singh also did special assignments for Reuters, BBC, TIME magazine and Voice of America. He was a Professor of Mass Communication and was the Dean Students for Regional Campus of the Guru Nanak Dev University at Jalandhar. He was Director of five institutes and Chief Proctor at Amity University, Noida.
Prof Singh was the Director General at IMR, Ghaziabad and Manglayatan University, Aligarh and Pro-VC University of Technology and Management, Shillong. He was also DG with Ghana-based LESDEP Foundation.
A winner of several awards, his reports on Punjab have been quoted by Nobel Laureate, Sir V S Naipaul in his book 'India: A Million Mutinies Now' a dozen times.
